To trial for the team, you should be happy riding a variety of horses, and able to jump a course of 3’6”, as well as ride an elementary level dressage test. Don’t be put off if you haven’t competed at a great level, as many good riders cannot afford good horses! We encourage everyone who is interested to apply for trial and please do not be disheartened if you do not get as far as ridden trials at your first attempt.
Everyone who progresses as far as ridden trials and those who subsequently ride for the team must be members of CURC.
Ridden trials cost £20.
There have, in resent years, been a large number of people at a high standard. Therefore, we are hoping to have 2 teams selected in October 2011. Riding requirements are as details for ridden trials and the teams are seeded. Those of you who were unsuccessful at 1st team trials last year are encouraged to come back and trial for the second team.
