GASTRONOMIC DISCOVERY

FINDING YOUR FOOD

This Cambridge Fruit Map shows locations where seasonal fruit grows on public land that we are able to pick. From summer puddings and tarts to warming autumnal crumbles and pies, or even a snack on the go, there’s something out there.

Picking Your Own  sumptuous strawberries, plump plums and rosy raspberries to take home, if they make it, must be one of the highlights of the summer months.

Go wild. Forage for your food, it’s local and free! There is an amazing array of tasty and incredibly nutritious plants that grow wild all around us.

CUGD hope to arrange a wild food walk in spring 2011 with a local wildfoodie, so watch this space. You may not have thought it, but stinging nettles, once cooked, taste great
