Hello! I am a research student of Professor Ben Green, at the University of Cambridge. I am interested in additive combinatorics and analytic number theory.
I am a member of Trinity College, and I have an office in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics; my departmental page can be found here.
Before starting a PhD, I studied for (and passed) Part III of the Mathematical Tripos (doing Number Theory and Combinatorics, mainly). Before that, I was an undergraduate in Cambridge.
I've got a separate page here on which you can find my maths things. There is a picture of me here in case you want to know what I look like.
I do some things other than maths too. I play the oboe, cor anglais and piano, and have a guitar that I have been trying to teach myself to play. I also enjoy walking, talking to my cats (yes, I do mean that), listening to Radio 4, and attempting The Times crossword.
I should like to express my thanks to the The Student-Run Computing Facility for providing me with this webspace.
My family has a Heard 28, which is a rather lovely gaff cutter (a type of sailing boat) based on the very traditional Falmouth working boats, although she is actually GRP (I believe the original mould was taken from one of the working boats) and was only launched in the summer of 2002. She is called Victoria Ruth. There is a picture of her here. The previous Victoria Ruth was an Oystercatcher 16 (a rather smaller boat in a very similar style).

I like the Hebrides very much indeed and have spent many happy holidays there, generally on Skye, in the Ardvasar area, and sometimes in the Western Isles. I visited Orkney in August 2004. Here are some sites related to the area (to varying extents):
I play the oboe and cor anglais with the Trinity Players.
I used to play principal oboe and cor anglais with the Hampshire County Youth Orchestra (prior to being too old), and went on tour with them to Chile.
This paragraph exists to provide links to websites consisting of photos of two areas of which I am very fond. One is the Lakeland Cam, with photos of the Lake District, updated on a daily basis. Well worth a look. The other is the Hampshire Cam; I come from Hampshire.
