Available from the main Debian archive
1.0.0-1 is available.
0.9.12-1 is available.
0.9.10-1 is available.
0.9.9-1 is available. Apparently this upstream release fixes an unspecifed security issue.
I don't know when the next upstream release of polipo will occur. When it is next released, I shall work on all the open bugs assigned to the package.
In the meantime, if there's an issue that's spoiling your polipo experience, e-mail me and say so. I'll get it fixed.
0.9.8-1 is available.
0.9.7-2 has a backported patch from 0.9.8 that allows polipo to try to continue to display pages with broken headers, instead of reporting an error, as it used to in 0.9.7.
0.9.7-1 is available
0.9.6-1 is available. New upstream release and polipo-control fix.
0.9.5-1 is available. New upstream release. I'm waiting for my sponsor to upload it. This should happen soon after Sun 27th.
0.9.4-3 is available. Bugfix release.
I released 0.9.4-2 last week with the intention of patching 0.9.4-1 with the "connection->flags & 2" assertion patch. I've just realised that the patch was not applied in the build process, because it doesn't have the extension ".patch". This will be fixed in the next release.
0.9.4-1 is available. Please install and test before this goes into Debian. Note that the install moves /etc/ppp/ip-(up|down).d/polipo to /etc/ppp/ip-(up|down).d/polipo.old, and installs a new version as 1polipo. polipo.old will not be run by run-parts when ppp comes up.
I'm planning to get 0.9.4 packaged this weekend.
0.9.3-4 was released to fix some minor bugs.
polipo is in the main Debian archive. Before reporting bugs please make sure you are using the latest version of the package from this page.
0.9.3-3 fixes the LOCAL_ROOT, DISK_CACHE_ROOT exchange bug.
Don't use 0.9.3-2. There's a bug in the build system which switches /var/cache/polipo and /usr/share/polipo/www over.
0.9.3-2 is available. Included is an upstream patch for the request->ohandler crash bug. I've switched to using the lovely CDBS build system which makes handling patches much, much easier.
0.9.3-1 is now available. It removes stale pidfiles so polipo starts properly after a crash.
0.9.2-2 is available. No user-visible changes. I've written a handy control abstraction script /usr/lib/polipo/polipo-control.
0.9.2 is available from my download section. New upstream release.
0.9.1-1 is availabe. New upstream release.
0.9-2 is available. It fixes the Konqueror "Connection to (host) broken" bug.
A new upstream release 0.9-1 is available. There are no Debian-related changes. 0.9-1 is available from mentors.debian.net.
0.8.4-1 is available. I fixed a stupid bug in init.d which chose exactly the wrong on/offline status, and a the only slightly less stupid omission of config and forbidden file options in ip-up/down.
All the $HOME expansion bugs should be fixed. If you spot any remaining then please get in touch.
I think this package is ready for the prime time now, so I'd love a Debian developer to sponsor it. (While you're at it take a look at teepeedee too).
0.8.4 is available upstream. I'll probably package it on Sunday.
0.8.3-3 is now available. The "Could not expand $HOME" bugs are fixed. "ppp" has no meaning in /etc/polipo/options has no meaning anymore. "noppp" has the opposite meaning instead.
0.8.3-2 is now available. It has the option to go online and offline automatically, for those who are using modems. See README.Debian for details on how to enable this.
0.8.3-1 is now available. It goes into daemon mode properly, so the init script works. Polipo will now start on system boot. There are still some problems: see TODO.Debian.
There's a -2 revision of the preliminary polipo package in the download section. The updates are entirely cosmetic.
There is a prelimeminary version of a polipo Debian package available in my download section. The init script does not work because there is currently no way to put polipo into daemon mode.
