Path at Bolton Abbey

Pictures like this seem to work well on Kodachrome 64 film somehow.

Aireville Park

On a day when I was really bored, I pointed my camera out of the window and took this picture.

Cornish Tin Mine

OK, so everyone who owns a camera and who has been to Cornwall has this exact picture. It's a really easy one to take and works well, though.

Trees

Took this one near a reservoir just after a blast of heavy rain. I ran off a whole roll of film that day. The lighting was superb, especially for some of the other pictures I took.

Winter

Grabbed this one at Bolton Abbey just before some people came into the frame from the distance. I needn't have worried because you wouldn't have been able to see them even if I had been too slow.

Bluebells

Bluebells are difficult to photograph properly. They reflect so much infra-red light that they come out white on film. I quite like the effect, though.

Leaned over the edge to take this one...

Smoke ring

This is the "Sealed Knot" performing at Skipton Gala a few years ago.

Silt

There is a "mud" picture to go with this one, taken literally 50cm away from this silt.

River at Bolton Abbey

I have loads of pictures from Bolton Abbey, the Strid etc because I'm always getting dragged out there.

Reservoir

This reservoir goes with the dam waterfall above.

The 6502 processor can be seen on the left.

Marcus Gleave

I had one more frame I needed to "use up" and he was nearby at the time. A polarizing filter removed most of the reflections from the sign.

This is the main PCB from a dot matrix printer, lit from behind with a flashgun.

I like the warm colour cast in this picture.

Taken at B.A. again, actually on the same day as most of the others here.

Dark sky

The untidy trees in my back garden, lit with a flashgun, in pitch darkness. Nice.

Coins

Actually one of my first ever pictures on slide film. I never looked back.

Decaying bracken

Works well in black and white, too.

Worth the few wierd looks I got while taking this one shortly after school one day.

Disco

This is my Auntie Ruth's (we've always called her that) wedding reception party.
Found I'd set the camera for the wrong film speed (by a long way) so the film was very underexposed, but it came out better than it would've if I'd exposed it "correctly".

Taken at full aperture with a 210mm lens, handheld at 1/30 sec....

The company - "Square Sail" - that owns this ship rents it and others out to film and TV companies.
