When university astronomer Prof. Ken Lawrence issues a press-release about a small meteorite heading for the Earth, the Doctor is naturally interested in the event. But his curiosity must remain unsatisfied whilst the Professor insists on secrecy over the details of his find. Unknown to the Doctor, he isn't the only Timelord with a keen interest in the piece of space debris... Professor Lawrence's brutal death at the hands of an intruder suggests a far more sinister motive, particularly with the disappearance of a perculiar crystal found at the heart of the meteorite...
