I am a PhD student at Christ's College, Cambridge, working in symplectic geometry under the supervision of Dr Ivan Smith. Far more excitingly, I just got engaged and recently moved house! Woohoo!

I just got back from a summer school in Paris on Real Algebraic and Symplectic Geometry. I'd like to thank the Henri Poincaré Institute for their hopsitality and proximity to a good boulangerie. I gave a poster at the Bonn International Graduate School postersession in June. Here's the poster in all its glory. I've also started writing articles for the BlueSci newsfeed. Check out my second article about global warming and British vineyards.

For a nice exercise in epsilons and deltas, try proving this little lemma due to Hofer and Viterbo, useful in the proof of Gromov compactness.
