Varsity
On Saturday 19 March, an age-old rivalry assumes an Aussie accent, as Oxford and Cambridge meet each other in the Australian Rules Football Varsity Match. First played over 90 years ago, the Aussie Rules Varsity Match is one of the oldest Oxbridge contests, as well as being the longest-running regular fixture of AFL played outside Australia.
This year's match promises to be a cracker, as the two teams vie for bragging rights on a newly-installed pitch in Cambridge. The match will be held on Saturday 19 March at St John's College Sports Grounds (map here: http://bit.ly/varsityvenues), with a 2.30pm kick-off.
The Aussie Rules match will be preceded by a netball match at 12.30pm, at the nearby courts on the St John's Grounds, and supporters and spectators are most welcome at both of these matches.
Netball: This year the Cambridge netball team will be an all female. If you are interested in playing, there will be 2 or 3 practise session before the event. Please get in touch with Hannah Pincham.
Aussie Rules: This year the Aussie Rules match is being organised by the Cambridge University Australian Rules Football Club. For more information please contact CUARFC. More information about the day will be available soon.
Christmas Dinner Function
Instead of holding a Melbourne Cup Dinner this year we opted for a Christmas function at the Punter Pub. With Australian Beer and great food it was an awesome chance for Aussies and Kiwis to celebrate Christmas in Cambridge style.
Pub meet (squash)
What: Just an informal meet and greet for all new (and existing) aussies and kiwis to Cambridge.
When: Wednesday the 13th October 2010

Freshers fair
On the 5th and 6th October 2010 CUANZ manned a stall at the Kelsey Kerridge freshers fair. If you hadn't signed up for the year this was your chance. Of course you can always sign upto our email list online.
