I graduated from Trinity College with a BA in Linguistics, French and Spanish in 2005 and since then have predominantly worked at the University of Cambridge. Originally trained as a phonetician, since working at the Research Centre for English and Applied Linguistics (RCEAL), my focus has shifted to language corpora, where I now specialise in corpus data collection, annotation, and processing. I currently work as a Linux System Administrator at RCEAL.
My main hobby is re-enactment with Regia Anglorum, in particular with my local group: Grantanbrycg. You'll mostly find me on the battlefield, although I'm keen to acquire a skill to work on on the Living History Exhibit. I am also involved with Cambridge Lindy Hoppers, for whom I have taught, performed, and been Treasurer.
The remainder of my free time goes to volunteering with Romsey Mill and growing vegetables (summer) and knitting (winter).
