Guidelines and information for submissions

The four main genres we're looking for are:

Reviews: of any recent book, exhibition, or other arts-related event
Articles: these are essentially essays, or opinion pieces. We have no preference regarding subject: philosophical discourse, political writing, close readings of literary texts - anything of a high enough quality will be considered.
Poetry: we aim to publish five poems every issue, and will consider work of any length, in any form, and on any subject
Artwork: we would like artwork, photography, etc. for the site, and eventually the full publication. This should ideally be submitted by email (in cases where this is not possible please contact the editor to discuss other arrangements)

Word limit: reviews and articles can be either shorter (400-700 words approx.), or longer (1000-2000 words approx.).

Remember, these are only guidelines: Any interesting work will be considered. If you're unclear on the kind of thing we're looking for: it should be similar in style and tone the articles in the London Review of Books, the Times Literary Supplement, or any other arts journal. Be in touch if you'd like more information.

Submissions and enquiries should be via email:

leedsreview@hotmail.com

It may be preferable to send abstracts or proposals, but if you have any questions please email.

We look forward to hearing from you!
