Sponsored Oxford-Cambridge Cycle Ride

On 21st June, 2008, I took part in a sponsored cycle ride from Oxford to Cambridge. A group of us are undertook this in support of Pembroke House, the College Mission, which is a settlement and social centre in Walworth, South London. It is founded and supported by members of the college.

The distance is 85 miles (136 km), and details of the route may be found here.

Pembroke House has four projects.

  • St Christopher's Church - a strong multicultural Anglican Church
  • Youth Centre - Crucial in an area of high deprivation and crime
  • Music Academy - teaching otherwise not available locally
  • Access Project - raising aspirations
