Last I left the pack, I needed to finish the front piece before I could close up the main body. I added plenty of haul loops so attaching trekking poles, climbing helmets, etc. shouldn’t be a problem. Next step was to sew up the body. Very exciting as it now is truly a function pack!
Back to work! It’s been a busy week–I joined a funk band an we’ve been rehearsing quite a bit. It was nice to get back to the pack over the weekend.

Despite the back being completed, I was once again temporarily delayed by the lack of shock cord in my shipment from Point North. After a John Lewis run, I could get started on the front and side ripstop pieces.

I was able to get a fair bit done this weekend over the course of a few hours. Last time I left the pack, I had sewn some loops on. I started this time by finishing up the strap linings.
I finally worked up the courage to begin assembling the pack, beginning with the straps, as per the instructions. I didn’t get very far–only put the thumb and tube loops on the strap linings. Baby steps, baby steps.
