General Information

College Services

There is a termly non-denominational service held in the OCR to which all members of college are welcome. Details can be found in the college calendar. The college choir provides the music for this service.

The college choir performs at the Wolfson Advent Service held in Michaelmas term each year at St. Mark's church. The service is open to all college members and their families. Details can be found in the college calendar.

Friends of Wolfson College Music Society

If you would like to find out about Wolfson music events please join our Friends mailing list. Contact Lyn Alcántara, (lma24 <at> cam.ac.uk) to be added to the list. If you would like to make a small donation to the Music Appeals Fund on joining the Friends it would be very much appreciated.

Keyboards

To use any of the college pianos/keyboards please fill in an application form available at the Porters Lodge and leave it in Dr Cross's pigeon hole. There is a Yamaha grand piano in the Lee Hall which is available to experienced pianists. The OCR has a Roland electronic keyboard and an old upright piano. We are currently fundraising for a new practise piano. There is also a harpsichord in the Lee Hall. Permission to play this must be obtained from Dr Cross.

Music Society Notice board

Please check the notice board for college music activities and advertisements for local concerts.

Metronome

Please contact the Director of College Music (lma24 <at> cam.ac.uk) if you would like to borrow a metronome.

Music Stands

There are music stands in the Lee Hall and OCR. The metal folding stands may be used in other college rooms but should be returned after use. Please do not remove the wooden music stands from the hall or OCR.

Music Appeals Fund

If you would like to make a donation towards college music, please do so via the Bursar to the Music Appeals Fund. Our current project is to raise funds for a new practise piano.

Music Loan

The society has a small library of chamber music which may be borrowed. Please ask a committee member for details.
