Rules clarifications and changes that have been made by ref teams.

Clarifications by 2012-2013 Refteam

  • Downtime deadline this year remains 1am on the Monday following the linear.
  • GREY damage added to magic system calls page
  • Miracle: Compel Truth (Knowledge) range changed from "touch" to "lay on hands"
  • Downtime page updated to new DT format
  • Miracle: Separation (Cursing 2).  Specified distance you must stay in the miracle description changed from "10 feet" to "3 metres" as all TT distances should be metric.  
  • Blue Spell: Jump Self.  Specified distance you may move changed from "30 feet" to "10 metres" as all TT distances should be metric.
  • Library Spells: Common library spells have now been published here: Common Library Spells and the magic rules page and spell list page updated to reference them.  The rules for learning them remain the same.  
  • Money: Website updated to use new "Silver Shillings".  Conversion: 10 paper shillings  = 16 silver shillings.  64 silver shillings = 1 gold shilling.  Silver shillings are a base 2 currency.   
 

AGM 2012 Changes

  • Dwarven physrepping changed to horns or "large solid block of silver/white/grey on both cheeks"
  • Eyes of suffering now needs only 1 participant to be injured
  • Backstab requires Streetfighter instead of subterfuge
  • Streetfighter weapon options relaxed to be all weapons of appropreate length rather than just mace and sword derivatives
  • Sordan and Vivamort strictures put on the website.  Note this does not effect their IC visibility, it is jsut to make it easier for new players to decide if they wish to play them.
  • NEGATE and TAKEN amalgamated into RESIST.  There is now no call to "NEGATE" the entirety of a MASS/WIDE effect.
  • Grey counter-magic changed to be workable.  
  • Subterfugers now have Dodge rather than Agility for their DAC skill
  • DAC skills now stack in the same way as health skills do, 4 ranks of any of Combat Awaerness, Dodge or agility grants a point of DAC.  
  • All DAC now works irrespective of armour.  

 

Clarifications by 2011-2012 Refteam

  • Downtime deadline this year is 1am on the Monday following the linear.
  • Polearm safety:  Players must have an additional safety/competence check by the safety officer to use a polearm.
  • Alchemy: Alchemical Conditioning now has a prerequisite of alchemical synthesis of equal level.
  • Venom can be applied to 2 arrows/bolts per level of venom, must be applied (5s as usual) to each arrow on loading, spare half venoms are lost at end of encounter.
  • Venom is unnatural. Enflame Arrow(s) is unnatural. Windbow is natural, but note that combining multiple magics may cause unpredictable results.
  • Metal limits: bows are free. Crossbows are a dagger. Arrows, as with throwing knives, are a third of a dagger each.

 

AGM 2011 Changes:

  • Removal of hit doubling.  Characters now have 3 hits to each location instead of 4/2, this caused rebalancing of direct damage spells and skills.
  • Max armour points for an unskilled character increased to 4.
  • Armour pysrep requirements unified into "light" (levels 1 and 2) and "heavy" (levels 3 and 4).
  • Frailty and non combatant no longer give negative XP, they are character RP choices only.
  • VENOM damage reduced to 1 degree.
  • Wilderness gains surefootness and weapon double skills.
  • Brawling made into a general skill and non-mechanical.
  • What breaks HALT clarified

 

Clarifications by 2010-2011 Refteam

 

Downtime Clarification Deadline (Downtime)

Considering this refteams meet is on wednesday and thus downtimes come out on thursday the deadline for clarifications is moved to thursday evening from thursday midday.

 

Metal Limits (magic rules)

The metal amounts of the following items clarified:

  • Short Axe / Short Mace: 1 short axe/mace is equivalent of 1 dagger of metal regardless of pysrep.
  • Staff: A pysrep staff contains no metal.
  • Spear: A pysrep spear contains 1 daggers worth of metal.
  • Shield: 1 dagger

 

First Aid (general skills)

You can perform First aid so long as you have 1 arm > 0 hits. (bringing it into line with casting).

 

Rites (spirit skills)

Reward the Faithful Servant gains "This rite is not guaranteed to work; the granting of a permanent blessing is a great honour and only the deity can decide if the recipient is worthy of it."

 

REPEL (system calls)

The wording of Repel has been fixed so that it is no longer permanent if you are unable to get 10m away from the victim.

 

Cannot be surpressed (Combat / various weapon spells)

The term "cannot be suppressed", applied to the empowered magical or spiritual effect on a weapon, means that you may not elect to call normal (or subdual) damage with that weapon. When more then one effect applying different colours of magic damage is cast on the same weapon, the most recently applied colour should be called. A magic weapon cannot have a spiritual effect cast on it, and vice versa. If you attempt to do it anyway, please get a ref.

 

Physical and Emotional wellbeing (safety)

While non-consensual sex exists in the TT setting, we would like to make sure that it DOES NOT TAKE PLACE IN UPTIME, even by taking the victim aside and talking about what happened with them OC.
