Some of you may find freshers’ week and your first experiences of Cambridge life quite daunting. Cambridge is a truly beautiful city and I can guarantee you'll grow to love it and make many strong, life-long and life-changing friendships, even if you take a while settling in (everyone does!). But until you do adjust, we’re here to help you get accustomed to your new home.

On behalf of the Christians in Trinity College, we would like to offer you a warm welcome! During freshers’ week the Christians from Trinity like to make a special effort to welcome the international students. We will be in and around the college for anyone who wants help finding places, for example the doctor's surgery, subject faculty, cinema or anywhere else you need to get to. Maybe you would like someone to show you around the city, or perhaps one day you may just be in need of a friendly chat over a cup of coffee. Please don't feel like any problem is too small. You can email Matt at any time.

There are many Christians in Trinity College of many different nationalities. If you are a Christian then we’d love to meet you and introduce you to other Christians in college! Trinity College Christian Union is a part of CICCU (Cambridge Inter Collegiate Christian Union). We meet every Wednesday evening and internationals who would like to meet other Christians for Bible study and fellowship (and usually tea and cake!) are more than welcome. We would love to show you where the churches are and there are many native speaking Christian groups that meet mid-week. Feel free to email Matt for more information.

And for all internationals (not necessarily Christians) who would like to meet other international students, you can go along to “Globe” on Friday evenings at 7.30. It's an open house run by Christians where internationals from the colleges can meet each other. Lots of different activities are organised, many of which include food from around the world and a chance to chat informally with lots of British and international students. There’s also “Harry’s” - a café for international language students at 5pm on Fridays.

During freshers’ week Matt will try and contact you to give you some details, but it’d be great to hear from you before then!

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. GALATIANS 6:10
