The Cat in the Hat Nick Mock The 1100 hat was suggested by Currencyboy after Drew knocked Trinity II out of cuppers (assisted by Caius I) with an inspired penalty on the final board. The idea was that we would make any member of TCBC who went for a penalty of 1100 or more (not counting a valid save against a slam) wear a ridiculous hat while playing bridge, until such time as the hat be claimed by another.

"Frivolous psyching, suggesting you have lost interest in the competition or are enjoying yourself at the expense of others, is a breach of the Laws." – EBU Orange Book
