Pre-empt-a-rama
Jonathan's hand is not ideal for a pre-empt. His values are defensive ones, his suit is only six cards long, and his heart shortage suggests opponents' best fit is in the suit they've already bid. However, at the vulnerability I would consider the 3 weak jump overcall perfectly normal. Raising your own pre-empt, however, is foolish even if your hand is ideal. I had already raised as far as I thought safe assuming a slightly better hand opposite than the one Jonathan had. 5 is always going to get doubled for penalties...
