Welcome to the site of the Sidney Sussex College Music Society.

Sidney’s musical reputation has been growing by the second since the endowment of the new position of Osborne Director of Music and the arrival of the first holder of this position, Dr David Skinner. Not only is the Chapel Choir flourishing - growing in size, sound, and reputation - but the past few years have seen the formation of a staggering number of new and diverse ensembles and projects.

This year we are continuing with our recital series - expect piano and vocal recitals, string ensembles, and debut concerts for our new vocal consort, The Lady Frances Singers, and Big Band. Why not get into the summer mood early with traditional madrigals sung by the chapel choir at dawn on May Day? Or wind down at the end of term with an afternoon of musical entertainment and relaxation in the Sidney gardens at our summer garden party. Or, if you are looking for an even more substantial event, come along to the artistic plethora which will be provided at The Master’s Farewell Arts Festival on 20th June 2009.
