Welcome back!!!!
Emma gives a quick recap over last term. The ADC concert we all agree went really well. Emma tells us it sold out in record time and that we've had amazing feedback! When the ADC's money had been taken out, we made £400 (perhaps we should have turned it into a week long show!)
Julie asks can we use our extra money maybe to subsidise some thing for the choir to give them some thanks for their hard work. T shirts are suggested as we are considering changing the style.
Hoodies are also brought up. Its decided we should order them this term as it is winter and so more will sell. This way we can have them for WIM. We decide to do a show of hands to get the rough numbers and get less XL!
Julie suggests a fashion show as a pause for thought in order to promote our clothing range!
Rehearsals: Liz comments that there were too many new people in the second week when we just ran through 'mourning into dancing' - perhaps we need to bear that in mind when we are teaching.
Laura asks can we run the prayer before hand however no good space for this is immediately offered. Perhaps we all need to think about this.
Song choices and venue: Emma was pleased with the song choices and Julie is congratulated for the fab venue of Trinity Chapel for our rehearsals! Well done!
Socials: Everyone who went agrees that the social last term was really good - well done Rosie! Suggestions for this term are casual things like making more of the drinks we have after rehearsals - Emma will include this on her emails. We also think of going for dinner as a choir as this has always been popular! It's suggested we get feed back from the choir as to what they would like to do.
Email list: Will be sorted asap, Emma to contact Xanthe about it.
Auditions: Tore suggests auditions were not the best way to recruit soloists, it was a little competitive and a lot of pressure for some. We need to rethink for this term. Jenz suggests a suggestion box and the committee listening for good singers.

This Term:
Song ideas:
Much discussion is had over song ideas- the following list is decided:
Concert venues:
Emma tells us West road isn't an option as they only had a date in early feb. However some other places were suggested:
Guildhall
Great St Mary's church (as it's a university church)
STAG
Holy Trinity
Kings
Monfort Theatre (?)
Cambridge Arts Theatre
We question whether having it in a church might put some people off. However churches are big and we decide we need more space than in Selwyn. We will look at the places that aren't churches first and find out where we can do it.
Conducting:
It's suggested that it should be open to everyone and should take about two hours. Jenz is put forward to possibly run it if he can.
New Committee:
We hand over this term L J we need to be looking for enthusiastic new people to put forward! Emma will mention about the hand over on Monday!

National Rev News
WIM is coming up!!!! We need to tell the choir about applying for jobs- deadline for this is 5 th Feb. The deadline to actually go is the 16 th of Feb but Jenz tells us you can pretty much go whenever you decide.
Dates are: 26th March - 2nd April in Bangor
Funding: Jens tells us about the Czech rev wanting to come over for WIM. However they can't afford it and so we should make every effort to help them come for it. It costs about £150 per person. Jens suggests a slave auction and immediately offers his services! And encourages us to do the same. However there are concerns that this might not go down massively well… but its potentially a good idea.
We need to think of more fund raising ideas. Eg. Chris auctioned off every mile they'd travel which we are told worked well.

A.O.B
CDs: it's suggested we play a few tracks for a pause for thought some time and then use this to sell them.
T-shirts: We need to design them!!! A competition perhaps? But nothing is decided.
Concert: Tore tells us about the Tensing concert that we can join in with in Histon. We are to sing a couple of songs. It will be on a Saturday night and we need to invite the whole choir!
Photos: We need to see if anyone has photos of the last concert. Julie will also at some point show Barbados photos.
Website: We have a lovely website but we need to get the choir to use it! Other people use it but not many in the choir! It is useful and we need to use it!
"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." Colossians 3:12–14
