F1 2010 Time Trial Tournament
To all the boy racers and F1 fans out there, the RCVGS is proud to announce it’s first tournament of the year, taking place tomorrow (22nd October) in the Linnett Room, and it’s *FREE* to enter!
The game in question is F1 2010, and the scoring system will be very simple: fastest lap time wins. We’ll hopefully have a nice set up for the tournament with racing wheel pedals etc., but only one, because we’re doing time trials (and that’s all we have I think). Also, there may be a prize for the best racer, you’ll have to come along to find out.
The tournament starts at 8pm; feel free to turn up early and help set up or register.
Hope to see you all there,
Jason Bell — RCVGS tournament organiser
Welcome Freshers!
Hello everyone!
I’d like to welcome everyone to the new site, whether you’ve been coming to the video game society for a while or are a new fresher. there’s lots planned for this term, although mostly the usual. We’ll be meeting every saturday in the Linnett room (by the chapel) starting from 8pm (Although it will probably be sunday this week on account of the Fresher’s Finale). The events tend to go on until about midnight, so feel free to wander down any time after 8pm and wander off again later.
The most popular games in the past have been Halo, Mario Kart, Smash Bros. New Super Mario Bros. and Modern Warfare.
We will also be having a couple of tournaments this term, including one to mark the launch of Kinect in November.
So come along and stick your head in to play some games on a saturday evening.
See you there!
-Chris
