More on Popper and Marxism:
Little, Daniel. The Scientific Marx. Minneapolis: University of
Minnesota Press, 1986. See
"<http://www.autodidactproject.org/other/marx-popper-little.html>Falsifiability
and Adhocness" (pp. 177-186) in chapter 7, "Falsifiability and
Idealism" (pp. 177-195).
Now that my uploading and running commentary of Adorno's introduction
to The Positivist Dispute in German Sociology is completed . . .
http://www.autodidactproject.org/other/positivismusstreit/adorno-intro1.html
. . . I'm hoping that the more opaque passages and the implications
of Adorno's interventions can be clarified and extended.
To get an overview of the whole book, as well as links to individual
articles, see:
Title pages, contents, index of sources
http://www.autodidactproject.org/other/positivismusstreit/contents.html
So far I've uploaded two contributions by Adorno. I cannot do the
whole book, but I will scan Adorno's essay "Sociology and Empirical Research."
There is a literature even in English on the Positivismusstreit. I've
only seen a bit of it, so I'm not sure how extensively and
comprehensively the analysis has been. See the section the section
"Popper & the Frankfurt School" of my bibliography:
Vienna Circle, Karl Popper, Frankfurt School, Marxism, McCarthyism &
American Philosophy: Selected Bibliography

As I've said before, this debate says much more about the
relationship between so-called continental philosophy and analytical
philosophy than most of the crap published of late. But whether it's
been analyzed adequately I couldn't tell you.
I have several more references on the Positivismusstreit not yet
incorporated into my bibliography. Here is a list of material I've
not had the opportunity to consult and could use whatever copies come my way.
