Invitation: a Workshop on Leadership and Shakespeare's MBA 6:30pm sharp to
9:00pm, Monday October 8, Franklin Wilkins Building, King's College London

 

You and your guests are invited to participate in a Rotman School Leadership
Workshop on October 8 from 6:30pm sharp to 9:00pm with Professor Jim Fisher
from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, who will lead
this workshop titled "Where did Shakespeare receive his MBA?"

 

Don't bother with the 23,000 plus books on leadership available online,
argues Professor Jim Fisher, instead take a good long look at a short but
compelling speech from Shakespeare's Henry V.  During this lively and
interactive evening session, Jim will develop and illustrate some of the
most important and enduring leadership concepts. Together with participants,
he explores the difference between managing and leading; the power of
uniting vision and action; the basis of human interaction; the role of
persuasion and; the fundamental qualities that make some people effective
leaders. Jim's biography is included below.

Biography

Jim Fisher, Vice-Dean, MBA Programs & Executive Education; CCMF Chair in
Entrepreneurship and; Professor of Strategic Management Rotman School of
Management, University of Toronto, Canada

 

Jim Fisher was founder of The Canada Consulting Group, the country's largest
Canadian-owned strategy firm before it merged with the Boston Consulting
Group. He joined George Weston Limited in 1986 and served as Executive Vice
President of Weston Foods, Chairman and President of William Neilson
Limited, and President of George Weston North American Bakeries. Currently,
Jim is a Director on the Board of Canadian Tire Corporation. Voted "Teacher
of the Year" by Rotman's MBA students, Jim teaches courses on Strategy,
