and Military Club, an oasis of old-fashioned 
elegance and modern standards of service in the 
heart of London's west end. The club's salons are 
open to Network Canada members and guests 
(membership is not required to attend) for an 
evening of socialising and sampling from a 
selection of martinis and other refreshments. The 
first martini is included in your ticket price. A 
fully stocked cash bar is available thereafter.

Discussing defence at London's Houses of Parliament  *  5 June

Network Canada members are invited to the Palace 
of Westminster where Shadow Secretary of Defence 
Dr. Liam Fox will discuss global security issues 
affecting the UK and Canada. Ron Hoffman, the 
Canadian High Commission's Minister for Political 
Affairs, will respond to issues raised. The talk 
will last for about one hour, after which time 
attendees are invited to continue the discussion 
at a nearby pub. This event is open to Network 
Canada members only.

Living in London Live - Careers, visas & taxes  *  13 June

Experts on recruitment, work permits, taxes and 
visas share their top tips at this informative 
evening. Come hear speakers from Robert Half

Canada Day volunteers

Canada Day celebrations return to Trafalgar 
Square Friday 29 June, 2007 for a day of live 
music, cultural events, culinary delights and 
street hockey. This event promises to be bigger 
and better than last year's and more help is 
needed to ensure everything runs smoothly and 
safely on the day.

Show your support for your national celebrations 
in London by volunteering as an event steward.
