[CCC] Canada Day!

Hooray for Canada day - Happy birthday, home!!

That means parties, parties, parties!

1) Davin Yap, a long-standing member of our trusty Cambridge Canadian 
contingent, is hosting a blow-out BBQ and pool party Sunday July 1st 
at his amazing place on Castle Hill - please see the attached advert 
for details, and RSVP Davin if you want in.

2) If you're planning on going to London this Friday for the 
festivities, it WILL be INCREDIBLE! Street hockey, big bands, food, 
culture, the works! See http://www.canadadaylondon.com/ for details 
and to get pumped! For those new to Canada Day in London, to give you 
an idea of how big this thing will be, the popularity of Canada Day 
in London has grown and grown so much over the last few years, that a 
couple of years ago, the street party outside of the Maple Leaf (the 
Canadian Pub in Covent Garden area) grew to 3,000 people. After that, 
the police said 'no more', and instead, the Mayor of London has 
granted Canadians all of Trafalgar Square to use for a massive party! 
Cool, huh?

Anyway, the Oxford CanSoc have asked if we'd like to meet up with a 
few of them for a few drinks at the Maple Leaf at some point, so I'll 
pass on the details once I know more from their president. If you're 
going and would like to meet others before taking the train, or in 
London, perhaps it would be easiest to organise via the Facebook 
(Canada Day London) page. That way I don't need to spam everyone 
who's not going. :)

OK! Find yourself a party and do your nation proud. I'm told you have 
to sing to make it official...
