Hope you had a good Easter break (if you took one) and that you're 
cheering loudly for your favorite "ice hockey" team...

On another note, coming up in June: the Big Ol' Canadian-style 
Barbeque! No one does it like we do it. Mmmmm burgers. With processed 
cheese! Hooray! More on that to follow.


Anyway, the real reason I am writing you is to ask for your help on 
next year's committee. We've had a lot of great Canadians leave 
little Cambridge in the last couple of years, thus leaving our 
committee the slim side. With more people leaving soon, we will 
really need new people to help out in the coming academic year. The 
committee is a lot of fun and is definitely low-commitment - and I'm 
not just saying that! There ratio of reward:work is very high, and I 
encourage you to help out. I was persuaded to go for VP 2 years ago, 
not having had ANY experience on a committee (I was scared, I will 
admit), and have found it a supremely valuable and enjoyable 
experience. I learned a lot, made important connections both here, in 
London, and at home, and had a lot of fun. I urge you to volunteer 
just a little of your time to make Cambridge a more welcoming and 
homey place for the many Canadians that find themselves here for 
work, school or otherwise. You absolutely don't have to be a student 
to take part (it would be great to have people outside the uni take 
part), and you don't a lot of time and effort to dedicate to the 
cause. It's fun and rewarding, and that said, it's been a pleasure 
organising events and getting to meet so many of you. Please do 
consider joining me on next year's committee.
