[CCC] CAAARRRR!!!

Dear Canadians and Friends,

As some of you may have heard, Trafalgar Square in London has been 
booked on Friday, June 30 to celebrate Canada Day. Details of the event 
can be found at http://www.canadadaylondon.com/  (which allows everyone 
to head to the Maple Leaf on the actual Canada day). As part of the 
festivities, they're organising a street hockey tournament to be played 
on the square itself, which will also be played tape-delayed on CBC back 
in Canada.

We may be able to get a spot in the tournament, so if you're interested 
reply to this email, and we'll see if we can get a team together to 
represent the CCC. I hope to get a good mix of men and women, novices 
and seasoned pros. I've got to get back to the organisers soon so please 
let me know.

 From the HC about the tournament:
We are looking for eight teams to participate. Each team will be 
comprised of 6-8 players and will have a sponsor who will fit them out 
in t-shirts for the event. We are looking at each team playing one 15 
minute game (time available for the tourney on the square is very very 
limited), with the two with the best goal differential participating in 
a final. The winner will have their team name inscribed on a cup (the 
hope is that this will be an annual event). The event will take place 
June 30 in Trafalgar Square from 14:00-16:00.
