College Life
Peterhouse is a very small college for Cambridge but at the
same time a huge amount is always going on, be it live music in the bar, discos in the music room
or big dinners in the college’s dining hall. We are lucky to have a lot of good facilities on the
actual college site, such as a gym, squash court, well-equipped computer room and one of the best
libraries in Cambridge. This section of the prospectus is aimed to introduce you to these, as well
as introduce you to somewhat alien concepts such as ‘formal hall’
(second sitting of dinner, ‘bop’
(a college disco) and ‘plodge’ (the porter's lodge).
