JCR President - Pilar Garrard
Hello. I'm Pili, the new JCR President 2008-09. Last year I was Women's Officer and got very involved with committee business so I thought I'd carry on this year. I hope that in the coming year the JCR will be able to help all the undergraduates in anyway we can.
I really want to make communication the main role of the President. Between students and the senior members of college staff. Please let me know if there is anything you're not satisfied with in college, or if you have any suggestions for improvements. There are all sorts of meetings I have to attend, so there are plenty of opportunities to get the undergraduate opinion heard. I didn't put myself forward for this position for my own benefit. I want you to order me about and tell me what you want!
Before I became President I had something of a life which involved studying Arabic, getting stuck in to drama and playing college netball.
At the moment I live in C5 on Old Court. My weekly surgery hour is from 3-4pm Wednesday afternoons. Otherwise I'm usually around college somewhere, so grab me and tell me what's on your mind or send me an email (jcr@pet.cam.ac.uk) or pfg24.
