Welcome to the Newnham MCR website! The MCR is Newnham's graduate community, and we are a diverse and multicultural group of students, participating in a correspondingly wide spectrum of activities. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and there are plenty of opportunities to meet other MCR members, in particular at our weekly Graduate Suppers. The MCR committee strives to provide entertainment for all tastes, and is always open to suggestions from any member of the graduate community.

'Louise Makin will talk about how, as CEO of BTG plc, she led the turn
around of a company that was a broad based technology business covering a
wide range of technologies into a focused pharmaceutical business,
culminating with the acquisition of Protherics plc in December 2008 in what
was, (and still is), a very challenging economic climate.
Louise will also talk about how she led the winning team of the 2008 Three
Peaks Yacht race and draw parallels between leading the JourneyMaker team
to win this race after just three attempts, and her experiences at BTG
plc.'

You can now sign up for the first graduate supper this term (19th January, 6:30 pm). Go to "What's on" > "Graduate Supper > choose your the Graduate supper you want to go to > "Click here to register for this event". Sign up will close at midnight on Sunday 17th January. |
