The Little Shop of Horrors

Alan Menken's Little Shop of Horrors tells the story of a giant, man-eating plant. The 4 night sell out run was excellently staged in the Formal Hall. Ben Jacklin and Ella Boughton were brilliantly cast in the lead roles of bumbling Seymour and ditzy Audrey and were ably supported by Phil McDonald's Mr Mushnik, Matt Coldrick s sadistic dentist, Alex Thomas as the voice of the plant, and a strong chorus. The show was extremely well received by the audiences the highlight being the huge model plant which filled half of the stage and was skillfully manipulated from inside by a very warm John Darcy.
