Henley Women's Regatta

MBC's 1st Women's VIII, fresh off getting blades in both Lents and Mays Bumps, set off for Henley. They put in a storming performance to qualify, but unfortunately lost to Southampton Uni in the first round in a very close race. However a great time was had by all, especially Ben Hanning and Jenny Burrows who got to know Sir Matthew Pinsent!

Magdalene Boat Club
CAMBRIDGE

Magdalene Boat Club was founded in 1828, 400 years after the Monk's Hostel which later became Magdalene College. It is a well known fact that this makes MBC mere months older than Belgium!

2008 marks the centenary of George Mallory's Captaincy (1907-08), a period in which MBC were widely recognised as the fastest boat on the river. Today the club continues to go from strength to strength with numerous recent victories testament to the spirit and determination of its members.
