| International Work in Cambridge |
|
The Christian Union in Magdalene College exists to make Jesus Christ known to students in Magdalene. Here in Magdalene, and across Cambridge, we have a fantastic opportunity to meet people from overseas without going anywhere. Instead of having to travel to hundreds of countries around the world to meet these people, they come to us. With this situation in mind, along with the good news message of Jesus Christ, we are spurred to tell international students the gospel too.
This happens in a few ways. Firstly, each member of the college group is encouraged to befriend international students themselves. In Magdalene we have an int rep, Amy Ackroyd, who helps coordinate evangelistic events aimed at international students in college, and also informs us of things we can pray about concerning God's work amongst int students in Cambridge.

Another way in which we aim to present the person and works of Jesus Christ is through a couple of coffee bars:
Harry's is an evangelistic coffee bar run by CICCU for international language students. Go along to the Henry Martyn Hall 4:30 - 7pm on Fridays to help out.
The Globe is a weekly cafe for international undergraduates. It has differently themed evenings and each week, a member of the team does a sort of "thought for the day" which is designed to be a springboard for conversation about Christ and Christianity.
