Local Elections
CULC members were out in force during the 2008 local election campaign, and fielded a total of three candidates for the Labour Party:
- Nick Dale, in Market Ward
- Will Redfern, in Newnham Ward
- Sam Wakeford, in Castle Ward

Cambridge Living Wage Coalition
CULC establishes the Cambridge Living Wage Coalition, campaigning for a living wage of at least £6.50 per hour of work for all employees of Cambridge colleges. Visit the campaign's website here.
Labour 'Confidence' Victory at Cambridge Union
CULC and Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Cambridge Daniel Zeichner were successful in jointly defeating the motion 'This House has no confidence in Her Majesty's Government', despite the combined efforts of former Tory leader Michael Howard and Liberal Democrat deputy leader Vince Cable. Disaffiliation from Labour Students
CULC passed a motion at the 2006 AGM to disaffiliate from the National Organisation of Labour Students. To read the press release, click here.
