M8+ 85kg Empacher, This is the Empacher used the by the men's first VIII and cost us a lot of money. Purchased by Dr Paul Stonehart, one of the club's major benefactors, and named after a lady "who is special to him" The boat carried the mens 1st VIII to blades in the 2004 Lent bumps. W8+ Janousek, This is the women's first boat, bought as part of the club's long term investment plan. It's longer than The Shark and has a reinforced bow, to protect it when it bumps all those other boats! It's lovely and the women are very proud of it. We've named it after Roger Thorogood who has dedicatedly coached the women for many years. See it in action
W8+ Janousek, This shell is used by the womens second VIII. Originally bought from CUWBC and completely refurbished in 1998, when it came back from Janousek as good as new.See it in action
M8+, On loan to the club from James McNaughten the shell is usually used by the men's 2nd VIII. It has a somewhat distinctive shape and a massive coxing seat, great for those of us who are a little bit too big for normal sized ones! See it in action
M8+, Named after Paul who very sadly collapsed and died a few years ago after doing a 2km erg. Used by the men's side of the boatclub, it is as good as Daredevil, if slightly newer and easier to sit. Of all the boats Grandpierre is the one that seems to take the most punishment, due to this it had a totally new carbon front section fitted in 2003. See it in action
M8+, It used to be the men's first boat before we got the Empacher. It's now used by the men's second or third VIII and by the first boat when we want to see if we can actually row properly. See it in action
M8+, Novice boat with big rudder and restricted hull. See it in action
W8+, normally used by one of the womens novice crews. See it in action
M4+ BBG Bow-loader. The distincive red colour of the boat, as well as it's speed makes this a favourite for those who have been lucky enough to find a cox competant enough in bow loader to be allowed out in it. See it in action
Wooden bow-loaded 4+. Bought by a number of members of the club from Caius who were getting rid of it. It is a more than adaquate replacement for Donnerbalken. Dr Paul Stonehard kindly sponsored the name and the Provost, Dame Judith Mayhew, named it in his absence. See it in action
W4+ Aylings. Named after Alan Turing a KCBC alumnus. See it in action
2- Aylings An Aylings "Olympian" pair. Purchased from Oxford University Boat Club and named after the Club's major benefactor. It is called "Stonehart II", because this is the third boat that Paul Stonehart has purchased for the club. See it in action
1x Burgashell presented to the Boat Club during the Appeal 1997 by Paul Molyneux (1986). <See it in action
1x. This is our lightweight wooden scull which isn't too bad. Named after Ted Bastin, a King's alumnus who used to win races in it for King's. See it in action
1x CLinker scull named after the parish the boathouse is in. Celebrated it's 50th year (2004) by winning the 2nd Trinity Challenge Sculls CLinker catagory (Chris Braithwaite). See it in action
