When the Alumni Association was founded in 1994, a campaign to restore
and increase the Boat Club Archives was also initiated. Our appeal for
help from alumni was met by a good response so that today the archives
include a great wealth of information. Everything paper based has been fully indexed and is now officially housed in the
Modern Archive Centre of the
College Library, where it can be accessed by anyone who so wishes. There is also a growing amount of electronic information
that is archived on this website. Details of what we have are given below.
- a fully indexed photo library
spanning over 300 crews from 1867 to the present day. This also includes an almost complete list of all King's oarsmen and women.
- an almost complete set of Bumps Supper menu cards
- an assortment of Bumps Programmes and newspaper clippings
- the President's and Captain's books up to 1966. (The tradition was
lost in the late sixties and has only recently been revived again). These are detailed here.
- historical bumps charts for the men and women
- a list of all King's Blues, Colours and
Internationals. As part of the Mays Events of 1997, we
unveiled a board honouring all King's Blues, Colours and Internationals. If
you have any corrections or additions to the historical data presented here,
or indeed any information on King's oarswomen and bumps positions, please send
them to the Alumni Association Secretary.
- Past Officers of KCBC
- Some Annual Reports that have been published in
Kings Parade and
sent to all Kings Alumni.
- Some old pictres from past websites and even earlier.
- Past terms news items from website and some back editions of the
alumni newsletter

Some alumni have sent us stories of historic events and in future we
hope from time to time to publish some of them in Henry's Eight. If you have a great
story (ideally with photos to go with it) to tell, do please send them
to the Alumni Association Secretary.
Finally, we would like to thank all alumni who have shared their memorabilia and
memories, happy and otherwise, with us. Please keep them coming!
