Welcome to the Cambridge University Kashmir Society (CUKS) Web Pages. CUKS was established in 2003 and has since its formidable founding attracted more interest than any other Cambridge University cultural society from the Indian Subcontinent.

The continuous presence of Kashmir in world news has led to an increased interest in Kashmiri culture, people, society and politics. We do not support any particular political point of view, but rather we allow all parties to participate in a healthy exchange of ideas and views. Our committee consists of members with roots in Kashmir as well as students with other backgrounds.

And in case political arguments get overheated we provide for a number of ways to socialise and relax enjoying the non-political part of Kashmir. Last term we organised a dinner with an attendance of over 50 people. This together with our ever-increasing mailing list shows that we have established ourselves as the fastest growing subcontinental cultural society.

This term’s events will include social gettogethers, political debates/speakers and other events.
