Khayaal
Wanted more than just social events from IndiaSoc?
Expect IndiaSoc to be a forum for intellectual exchange?
Thought IndiaSoc was not for grads?
It's time to stop being a passive commentator, and get involved! Khayaal, the exciting new magazine recently launched by IndiaSoc, is our first step in response.
Khayaal, literally meaning 'idea' or 'thought', is a space for expression of opinion, debate and networking, creating quality interaction and strengthening the ties between the members of IndiaSoc.
Khayaal is a (bi)monthly magazine circulated among Indian undergraduates and graduates at Cambridge University, as well as Alumni, through both electronic and paper versions. Every issue is designed to carry one article each from a current undergraduate student, a current graduate student and a distinguished Senior Member or Cambridge Alumnus of Indian origin or who is currently involved in research/work related to India. We expect the undergraduate and graduate columns to be a great space where current students can share their aspirations for India, their ideas about life, their passion for their subject and what Cambridge has contributed to them as individuals. We believe that the senior members would bring to the publication the wisdom of experience and kindle the eager intellects of our readers. Khayaal is a one-of-its-kind magazine, serving as a platform for intellectual exchange between bright Indian minds that are part of the Cambridge fraternity.
IndiaSoc welcomes contributions from you in the form of ideas or articles. If you would like to write for future issues of Khayaal please write to Apoorva Jayaraman.
The Khayaal team also looks forward to your comments and feedback, which you can provide through comments on the blog or by writing to Apoorva.
The true value of this new venture depends on your support, contribution and most importantly, your readership!
