Welcome!

Welcome to the homepage of Cambridge University Atheist and Agnostic Society, the oldest such secular society in the United Kingdom.

CUAAS aims to allow atheists, agnostics and other non-religious people in Cambridge (mainly, though not exclusively, members of the University) to meet each other and debate moral, scientific and political issues. To inform members about approaches to life that aren't based on religion through a full and varied selection of talks. To encourage students to approach issues on the basis of reason, not superstition.

Easter 2009

Although exam term is very busy, we usually have one or two talks at the beginning of term. We're sorry to say that we've only been able to arrange one speaker this term, but please watch this space, and towards the end of term, over summer, or at the beginning of Michaelmas 2009 we should have a fresh selection of speakers and events once again.

Regular Pub Meets

Members of CUAAS meet regularly, once or twice a week, (usually a Friday) at various pubs around Cambridge. Members, non-members and the curious are welcome to come along and discuss whatever's on their minds, have a good moan, ask questions, and generally meet each other, whilst enjoying an alcoholic (or otherwise) beverage. If you can't find us, shout something godless and look for the Bus Campaign t-shirts.

The next pub meet is on Friday 8th May (people will be there from around 8.30pm) at the Anchor on Silver Street [Directions].
