Emphasis on Education

HATS differs from the other college drama societies, having two committee members dedicated to the promotion and tie-in of 'Theatre in Education' to our usual plays and projects.  Over the coming year we will work hard on a range of schemes which allow our audiences the chance to explore our productions more fully, whilst attempting to further their interest in the show's themes and the world of theatre in general. This will include working closely with local schools to combine performances with curriculum-based activities that are suited to the individual school's interests. Previous projects include ‘The Orwell Project' (2004) and ‘September in the Rain' (2005), and ‘The Diary of Anne Frank' (2006).
