The Gilbert and Sullivan society is far more than just a performing society: we have social events ranging from "Singthroughs" to our annual dinner.
Singthroughs are one of the most frequent events, where we spend an evening singing through an operetta (unrehearsed, with principals volunteering on the spot), sustained by copious quantities of wine and nibbles. Singthroughs happen, as a general rule, at least twice a term, and you don't have to be able to sing to attend! Feel free to come to enjoy the music, the nibbles and the company.
Note that most events (other than the Freshers Squash) are open to members only - see here for details on joining the society.
The Christmas Dinner this year is on 5th December, 19:30 at the Strada restaurant on Trinity Street. Tickets are £13 for those who wish to drink wine, or £11.50 for those who don't. (This includes half a bottle of wine per person; you will have to pay for additional drinks seperately). This subsidised price is for members only, and has limited space.
