Tuesday 4th November 2004: Planning Meeting
The meeting will be at 7.30 pm in the Mitre and we will be discussing campaign strategy and planning events
Wednesday 5th November 2004: Geshe Dorji Damdul speaks on Buddhism
Buddhist soceity presents Tibetan Geshe, Dorji Damdul who will be giving the second of a series of 3 introductary talks on Buddhism. The talk is at 7.30 pm in the Latimer Room at Clare College
Wednesday 5th November 2004: Letter Writing Campaign
Students for a Free Tibet are coordinating a letter writing campaign. People all over the world will be sending letters to their governments and to their Chinese embassies to ask that respected religious leader Tenzin Delek Rinpoche is not executed on 6th April 2004 as planned. Anne Callaghan from the UK Free Tibet Campaign will be giving an introductary talk on Tibet and current campaigns. 7.30 pm Buckingham Room, Magdalene.

We will be showing the film "Kundun" which follows the Dalai Lama's life from recognition as a small child to when he was forced to flee Tibet in 1959

Awareness raising stall outside the Guildhall from 10.30 am to 2 pm

We will be mainly discussing the Tenzin Delek Rinpoche Campaign including lobbying at Parliament on 2nd December and the Gu Chu Sum event
Tuesday 25th November 2004: 6 pm, Quiet Room, Wolfston College: Isobel Losada from Act for Tibet will be giving a talk entitled: "To Change the Things I can."
She will be talking about her experiences of campaigning for Tibet and discussing whether we can actually do anything to help. For more information about the speaker please see the end of the e-mail. The Free Tibet Campaign is holding this talk as a joint event with CU HELST (Himalaya and English Language Scholarships for Tibetans).

Tuesday 2nd December 2004: Tenzin Delek Rinpoche lobbying
In a coordinated action by the UK Free Tibet Campaign, we will be taking a group to parliament to lobby MPs to try to prevent the execution of respected Tibetan Spiritual Leader Tenzin Delek Rinpoche. For more information or to get involved please send us an e-mail: freetibet@cusu.cam.ac.uk
Wednesday 3rd December 2004: Vigil
We will be taking a group to London for the vigil outside the Chinese Embassy. 6 to 8 pm London.Saturday 6th December 2004 1 pm:
Two Tibetan ex political prisoners from Political Prisoners' Organisation Gu Chu Sum will be speaking in Cambridge. Queens Building Lecture Theatre, Emmanuel College
Photos Monday 26th January 2004: Vigil to mark the one year anniversary of the execution by China of Tibetan farmer Lobsang Dhondup. 5-7pm outside Great St Mary's Church (Opposite Senate House).
We will be holding a candel lit vigil and giving out fliers to raise awareness about the forthcoming execution of his co-accused Tenzin Delek Rinpoche. Rinpoche is a Tibetan spiritual leader who is due to be executed on 7th April 2004. For more information about the case, please follow this link to a page by the Inernational campaign for Tibet
Thursday 29th January 2004: Planning meeting 1-2pm King's College Bar
We will be discussing events planned for One World week, the Tenzin Delek Rinpoche campaign and becoming an official university society for funding purposes.
Saturday 31st January 2004: Saturday Stall
We will be ouside the Guildhall with a stall handing out leafletts, signing petitions and generally raising awareness about the situation in Tibet. For more information please e-mail freetibet@susu.cam.ac.uk, or just turn up!

Saturday 7th February 2004: Free Tibet Campaign Local Groups Conference, London.
Representatives from across the country will be discussing campaigning for Tibet in the local area and coordinating action nationally. If you are interested in attending, please contact freetibet@cusu.cam.ac.uk
Sunday 7th March: A date for the diary!
This is the annual national protest march organised by the Free Tibet Campaign. It commemorates the 1959 uprising in which 87 000 Tibetans were killed. We will be taking a group to central London.
