Catholicism for the Curious

Mondays at 1.15pm in the Library over lunch. First meeting: 28th April.
Fr Alban will give a short talk followed by discussion on what Catholics believe and why.
This term's topic will be The Creed: affirming our Catholic Identity.

Catholicism & Life: The Basics

Wednesdays from 5-6pm in the Library. First meeting: 7th May.
The aim of these informal meetings is to fill gaps in our knowledge and understanding of Catholicism in everyday life and answer questions asked of and by Catholics about a wide range of topics. There will be a brief talk, followed by discussion. All welcome.

Poetry and Faith

Tuesdays 29th April, 6th May & 13th May at 6.00pm in the Library.
Led by Sr Anna Mary House OP. This term's three sessions will discuss Life, Death and Resurrection according to Shakespeare and others. All welcome.

NEW - Music Through the Ages

Mondays at 8.00pm in the Library. First meeting: 5th May.
Led by Matthew Ward, Director of the Schola Cantorum of Fisher House.
An introduction, with examples, to the history of Western music, with special interest in the Church's tradition of sacred music.

NEW - Art in the Liturgy, its development and crisis

Tuesdays at 5.00pm in the Library. First meeting: 29th April.

Medical Ethics Forum

A group intended primarily, but not exclusively, for medical students. With the help of outside speakers, the group will discuss ethical questions of pressing importance for the practice of medicine. All welcome.

Catholic Graduate Society

Meeting fortnightly on Mondays at 6.00pm. First meeting: 28th April.
The Catholic Graduate Society meets throughout the year in Fisher House for informal discussion of topics of interest and concern to Catholic graduate students. It also provides opportunities, both formal and informal, for Catholic graduate students and senior members to meet.

Society of St Vincent de Paul

Meeting on Thursdays at 6.30pm. First meeting: 24th April.
The SVP seeks to help those in Cambridge less fortunate than ourselves.

English Mass Choir

Fisher House is blessed with two choirs! The English Mass Choir leads the music at the 11.15am mass on Sundays throughout termtime. It practises on Sunday mornings at 10.00am in the Dining Room downstairs in Fisher House. New voices of all ranges are always needed and very welcome.

Schola Cantorum

The Latin Mass Choir provides music from the Gregorian and classical traditions at the 9.30am Mass on Sundays in term, practising on Friday evenings at 7.30pm and Sunday mornings at 11.00am. New members always needed and very welcome.
