Welcome to Fisher House
Welcome from the Chaplain
Welcome to the website for Fisher House, the Catholic Chaplaincy to the University of Cambridge.
The Chaplaincy was founded in 1895 and has been here at Fisher House since 1924. We are in the very centre of Cambridge, immediately next to the Market Square, the Guildhall, Corn Exchange and the very popular Cow pub and pizza parlour.
The 17th and 18th century building we occupy used to be an Inn until it became the chaplaincy, and we like to think that Fisher House has maintained the same tradition of hospitality and friendliness.
Behind its deceptively small exterior, there is a chapel, a large hall for Mass on Sundays, a Library, Bar, a kitchen and a roof garden. All members of Fisher House have access to the chaplaincy all day, via a combination door and it is a much used meeting place for students, undergraduate and graduate, throughout the term.
We hope you will find something of interest among all the many things going on here. If there is anything you would like to ask, please feel free to make contact by e-mail. But, above all, we hope you will make Fisher House your second home while you are here in Cambridge and we look forward very much to meeting you.

Sr Mirjam, Chaplaincy Assistant
Welcome from the Fisher Society
On behalf of the Fisher Society I would like to warmly welcome you to Fisher House. Every student who is a Catholic, or interested in Catholicism, is automatically a member of the Fisher Society. And it's completely free! This makes us unique as a University Society, complete with a whole raft of great facilities, specifically for your use, centred on Fisher House.
In so many ways we are a vibrant microcosm of this great University, come and see for yourself! I hope that Fisher House can be a fun and friendly part of your time in Cambridge!
