First Aid Cover

Types of event

We routinely provide first aid cover to many local events, including the City Fireworks, The Corn Exchange, the Folk Festival and Strawberry Fair, Duxford Airshows, rowing regattas, and May Balls. We are happy to provide cover for most events. The only exception is for some dangerous sports, where St John Ambulance national policy limits us to providing cover for spectators.

Resources available

We can provide ambulances, first aid units, custom-designed first aid bicycles, defibrillators, oxygen, general first aid equipment, and personnel to man and use these. Additionally we are able to source paramedics, nurses, and doctors if required.

Booking

The more notice we are given, the more likely it is that we will be able to provide cover for your event. June in particular is exceptionally busy, with planning often beginning up to twelve months in advance.

We intend to make an online application process available as soon as we can. For now, please contact our Duties Co-ordinator if you have a request for cover or any questions. In the unusual event that we are not able to provide cover on our own we'll pass on the request to other local St John Ambulance units.
