Notes

We are allowing 10 days acclimatisation at Plaza De Mulas (4200m). From experience gained from other expeditions, we have found that the more time spent acclimatising at high altitude, the more chance of success the expedition has.

We will be making short excursions of no more than two days up the mountain to increase our tolerance for the altitude, and therefore feel confident that by the 31st December we will be able to tolerate one night's sleep at Independencia (6250m) in preperation for the Summit day.

We have planned for more than the usual number of camps to increase our chances of a successful summit attempting even further. We will camp at Plaza De Mulas (4200m), Nido de Condores (5350m), Berlin (5800m), and finally Independencia (6250m) before mounting the summit attempt.

Any times are subject to change of course - indicative of the current weather conditions - which may even mean an early summit attempt.
