May Bumps 2009 - M1 Day 1

After a collision ahead, the second half of the men's first division had to be restarted. Emma M1 got to a great start and closed in on a very fast Clare boat ahead. Unfortunately, we were not able to get any closer after the start and Fitz behind started to make progress. Despite some awesome lines around the corners, Fitz closed in and M1 were eventually bumped along the reach after a spirited defence. This was very frustrating as there are clearly crews ahead who are slower so hopefully there should be opportunities for bumps later in the week. Any support on the bank would be greatly appreaciated.

May Bumps 2009 - M2 Day 1

Emma M2 set out into bumps week with some really solid paddling and some of the best practice starts of the term. Some problems with the line unsettled the start, but bow four responded quickly and the boys recovered well and got up some good speed. Unfortunatley this had allowed Jesus to move in on us, and despite some really committed rowing they continued their move and managed to make the bump. Tomorrow a clear start will show what we are really capable of. Fit via vi.
