Update

Lej still going strong

Sorry for the lack of information recently, but things in the BATG Castle have just been getting too exciting for us to peel our eyes away from.  Our hero is now down to the last 3 couples, maintaining his honour and dignity at all times, unlike various other housemates who can only be said to be falling apart.

Lej has become the star of the show, with his jam sandwich heroics, new image, and role in the tense decider the week before last when he and Sam were nominated for the first and only time so far.

In his day job as 3rds keeper the father's son has continued to keep us entertained, clearly revelling in telling a CFTC* player on Friday (in their play-off against our 3rd string to decide who gets promoted to Division 6) that he wouldn't go to heaven, whilst also drawing attention to his waistline.

Keep your eyes posted for another Lej's column soon, I'll nip down now actually and ask him, although he'll probably have an excuse as usual.

Number: 2

Father: Fine/2

*This is a theological college, ie. it trains vicars, yet another example of Lej's immense ability to offend people in the most extreme ways.

More TV appearances

Update: Lej has just confirmed that he will be appearing on the Telly twice next week, prior to the first 'Beauty and the Geek' on Tuesday night.

The first appearance will be on 'Look East' for those in East Anglia*, on Monday night. More excitingly, EBUK will then be appearing again, the following night, on Richard and Judy, as part of what promises to be a great evening's entertainment.  Final details will be sent out soon, although Tuesday looks to be mapping out like this:

Beauty and the Geek first episode

Ringland is currently recruiting volunteers to help him kidnap the Son from his RAG blind date and drag him to the Cricketers to watch it with us.  Application forms are in the Porter's Lodge now.

*Apparently Ollie and Jacko's Dads look at the site so thought I better not assume everyone reading this has the privilege of being able to watch the likes of Stewart White, Carol Bundock and Susie Fowler-Watt 5 nights a week.

Channel 4 has finally confirmed details of its new reality TV show, 'Beauty and the Geek', starring our very own Edmund Bolton (UK).

In a series of adverts currently being run by the channel, the first showing is stated as being on Tuesday 7th February at 10pm, initially on E4. It is thought that Channel 4 will also air the programme, although at a later date.

The father's son is said to feature prominently on the advert, alongside 6 other "geeks" and 7 fit women.

It is likely that Downing College AFC will be strongly represented in The Cricketers that night, so please come and join us, should be HUGE.

At the time of going to press Stonker was on a 2.

"Beauty and the Geek"

Lej on the telly - its definite

Update: The programme has now been filmed, and Lej has returned with blonde highlights and something approaching fashion sense.  It will be aired in February, further details nearer the time, although if you can't wait until then have a look at these links:

Previous highlights of Lej's career in photo form

From 25/11/05, before he went on:

It's official, Edmund Bolton (UK) our esteemed 3rd team Goalkeeper and club vocalist, has been chosen as one of 7 exceptionally clever lads to go and spend two weeks in Scotland with 7 extremely beautiful girls, which will be filmed and aired in a new reality TV programme on Channel 4.  Although the name of the show has not yet been made official, it is thought that it will be along the lines of the American version, "Beauty and the Geek".

Lej's Father (Timothy) is, according to reports, "fine", although it seems his Mother is slightly less enthusiastic at the prospect of her son (EBUK-2) being on national television.

All at the club wish him well, and expect regular numerical updates when the female participants are in close proximity.
