2nds promoted!
St John's III 2-3 Corpus III

Downing II are promoted.

The seconds have won promotion to Division 4 for next season after relegated Corpus II ended John's III's hopes of going up with a 3-2 win on the final day of the season.

Earlier, our lads had finished their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Selwyn II and a 5-0 walkover of Caius III, although they were still left hoping that one of Clare II or John's III would slip up.  As if turned out it would be the latter who stumbled, meaning that all our hard work this term was rewarded.

Congratulations to captains Ollie and Ringland, and vice-captain Ribbentrop, as well as the rest of the lads for what has been a great season.

3rds promoted!
CFTC 3-3 Downing III

Downing win 5-4 on aggregate.

Our thirds lads have won promotion to Division 6 after beating CFTC 5-4 on aggregate in the end of season Play-offs.  Holding a 2-1 lead from the first leg, Downing were never really troubled, Geri and Adam killing the game off in the second half, after James Palmer had given us the lead inside 5 minutes.  They threatened us on occasions, but the aggregate result was never really in any doubt.

Congratulations to Pete and all concerned, its been a superb year.
