27th February – Chateau Branaire-Ducru

Venue – Upper Hall, Peterhouse

Speaker – Jean-Dominique Videau, General Manager

Château Branaire-Ducru is a St Julien fourth growth, although it punches well above its weight as far as quality is concerned.  With Phillipe Dhalluin, now winemaker at Mouton-Rothschild, at the helm, the wines went from strength to strength during the 1990s and into the new millennium.  This trend has continued in more recent years, with critics giving consistently excellent scores, and so it is with great pleasure that we are able to present this tasting.
