10th November –  Food and wine tasting.

Venue – Pembroke College’s Old Library, 12:30 pm

CUWS, in association with the Cambridge Wine Merchants, are delighted to be able to present a tasting looking at the interesting and complex art of food and wine matching.  The tasting will take place in Pembroke College’s Old Library, at 12:30pm on Saturday November 10th, and will run for two hours.  In that time we will be serving a tasting menu of several courses, each with a wine chosen to complement the food.  Led by Brett Turner, this promises to be both a highly interesting and very useful tasting.

At present the menu is as follows:
Beetroot marinated Gravadlax - 1988 Riesling Spaetlese
Goats Cheese & Red Onion Tart - Sancerre Henri Bourgeois
Saffron Infused Red Mullet - Bestue Rose
Risotto of Roasted Ceps - Antonio (Italian Red)
Welsh Rarebit - Faugeres St Emilion
Chocolate Brownie - Maury 1928

£30 for members and £25 non-members
